Notifications

Notifications live in the bell tab of the bottom bar. A badge appears on the tab when you have unread ones.

What you'll be notified about

• Social: people who follow you, like, comment on, reply to or repost your posts, or mention you.
• Books: a new book or chapter from a writer you follow, a new chapter or completion of a book in your library, comments, inline comments and ratings on your books, and reader milestones for your book.
• Messages and rooms: new messages, chat room messages and join requests.
• Account: reading streaks and rewards, tips, and identity verification and payout results.

Read status and deleting

• When you open the Notifications screen, notifications are marked as read automatically after a moment; new ones are highlighted first.
• Tap a notification to go straight to it (the post, book, line or chat).
• Swipe a notification from right to left to delete it.
• To delete everything, tap the three dots at the top right, choose Clear all and confirm.

Notification settings

1. On the Notifications screen, tap the three dots at the top right.
2. Choose Notification settings.
3. Turn groups such as Likes, Comments, Replies, Messages, Chat rooms and Announcements on or off individually.

Notifications about money and your account, such as payouts and identity verification, can't be turned off in preferences.
