Following and followers

Open someone's profile and tap Follow to start following them; they get a notification. To unfollow, tap the same button and confirm.

What following changes

• You'll hear when a writer you follow publishes a new book or chapter.
• You can choose to get notified about new posts from people you follow (see notifications).
• To send a Message, you need to follow each other. Once you both follow one another, the Message button on the profile unlocks (see starting a chat).

Follow lists

• Your own lists: Settings › Following and Settings › Followers. You can also tap the counts on your profile.
• Someone else's lists: tap the counts on their profile.

Lists show each person's photo, name and username; tap anyone to open their profile. Unfollowing asks for confirmation so you don't do it by accident.

Good to know

• Blocking someone removes any follow between the two of you.
• If you follow a lot of people in a very short time, you may be asked to wait a moment. This helps keep fake accounts out.
