Language and theme
Choose from 12 app languages and use a light, dark or system theme.
Changing the app language
- Open Settings from the Profile tab.
- Tap Appearance.
- Choose your language under App Language. The change applies right away.
ARWY is available in 12 languages: English, Turkish, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. You can also pick a language with the language button at the top of the sign-in and sign-up screens.
The app language doesn't change the language of books or posts. When you read something written in another language, you can use translation.
Theme
- Open Settings › Appearance.
- Under Theme, choose System Default, Light or Dark.
System Default follows your phone: if your phone is in dark mode, ARWY is too. You can also switch the theme with the moon and sun icon at the top of the sign-in screens.
Good to know
- The same screen also has Premium Themes, which are unlocked with a subscription.
- The page colour, text size and font you use while reading are separate settings, changed from the reader settings on the reading screen.
