App lock (PIN)

If you share your phone with others, you can lock ARWY with a 4-digit PIN. The PIN is separate from your account password and only works on that phone.

Turning the lock on

1. Open Settings › Security.
2. Under APP LOCK, turn on App lock (PIN).
3. Enter a 4-digit PIN, then enter it again.

From now on, the PIN is asked whenever you open the app.

Options

• Ask when returning from background: choose when the PIN is asked after you switch to another app and come back: Immediately, After 1 minute or After 5 minutes.
• Hide content in notifications: while the lock is on, notifications don't show message text, only something general like "New message". Tapping the notification still takes you to the right place.
• Change PIN: to set a new PIN.

Forgot your PIN?

1. On the lock screen, tap I forgot my PIN.
2. Tap Sign in again. Your PIN is deleted and you're signed out.
3. Sign back in to your account. No PIN is asked; you can set a new one in Settings › Security if you like.

Good to know

• After 5 wrong PINs, you need to wait 30 seconds.
• Logging out deletes your PIN.
• App lock is only in the Android app, not on the web.
