Blocking someone and your blocked list
Blocking someone shuts off all interaction between you; remove a block from Settings › Blocked Users.
How do I block someone?
- Open the person's profile.
- Tap the options (three dots) menu on the profile.
- Choose Block.
You can also block someone from a chat's options on the Messages screen.
What happens when you block
- Any follows between you are removed.
- Neither of you can send messages; the chat is hidden from your list.
- You can't see each other's profiles; the profile shows "This profile is unavailable".
- You can't follow each other again or comment on each other's books and posts.
A block works both ways: you also can't interact with someone who has blocked you. The other person isn't notified that they've been blocked.
Removing a block
- Open Settings › Blocked Users.
- Tap Unblock next to the person.
Once unblocked, they can see your profile again. Follows removed earlier don't come back; you can follow them again if you want.
Good to know
- Official ARWY accounts (@arwy and @arwydestek) can't be blocked.
- If someone is bothering you, you can report them as well as blocking. See Reporting.
