Showing your online status

By default, when you're using the app, others see you as online in chats, and when you leave, your last seen time is shown. You can hide this if you prefer.

1. Open Settings › Privacy.
2. Under VISIBILITY, turn off Show my online status.

When it's off, other people can't see you online and your last seen time stays hidden. Turn it back on any time to undo this.

Good to know

• This setting doesn't affect messaging; you keep sending and receiving messages as usual.
• The setting belongs to your account, so it also applies on the web version.
• Hiding your online status doesn't make you invisible: your profile, posts and books stay public.
• If you don't want any contact with a particular person, you can block them.
