Notification settings

In Settings › Notifications you can turn each type of notification on or off. The settings are in four groups:

• Social: follows and follow requests, new posts from people you follow, likes, comments, replies and ratings.
• Messages: direct messages and chat rooms.
• Books: libraries and new chapters.
• Other: announcements and Campaigns and announcements.

Notifications you turn off won't reach your phone, but they still appear in the Notifications tab in the app.

Campaigns and announcements

This switch is the optional permission to receive emails and notifications about new features and campaigns. If you didn't tick it when you signed up, it shows as off. You can turn it on or off at any time, and turning it off doesn't limit any feature.

If no notifications arrive

• If you see "Notifications are off in your system settings" at the top of the screen, tap it and allow notifications for ARWY.
• Battery saver modes can delay notifications. Try excluding ARWY from battery restrictions.
• Make sure Do Not Disturb is off.
• Logging out and back in refreshes the notification connection.

Muting a single chat

Instead of turning off all message notifications, you can mute one chat or room: long-press it on the Messages screen and use the mute option.
