Ads while reading and ad-free reading

ARWY is a free app, and ads help support writers and keep the app running. We place them carefully so they don't spoil your reading.

What you'll see while reading

• No full-screen ads appear while you read a chapter. The reading screen and the break screen between chapters are kept free of them.
• You may see an ad space at the end of a chapter, after the text.
• There may be small ad spaces on the break screen and at the bottom of a book page.

When do full-screen ads appear?

On the free plan, a full-screen ad may appear every few minutes on screens other than reading. You may also see one when you come back to the app after a break. Full-screen ads aren't shown while you write, chat or use payment screens.

Reading without ads

• Plus, Premium, Elite and Elite+ are all ad-free.
• New accounts see no ads for their first 24 hours.
• No ads are shown while you read without an account.

Good to know

• Gift plans you earn from challenges such as reading streaks unlock features but don't remove ads. See Reading streaks.
• Watching an ad on the support card at the end of a chapter is completely optional; if you do, part of the revenue goes to the author.
• If you use an ad blocker, you may see ARWY's own promotions instead of ads.
