Downloading books to read offline

To read on a plane, on the subway or wherever your connection is weak, you can download a book to your device ahead of time.

How to download a book

1. Tap the download icon on a book card, or open a chapter and choose Download Book from the menu at the top right.
2. Confirm the download in the dialog.
3. When it's done, the icon turns green.

Finding your downloads

Settings › Downloads lists every book you've downloaded, and you can read them from there without internet.

Deleting a download

Tap the green download icon again and confirm Delete Download. The book is removed from your device, but you can still read it online as usual.

Which plan do I need?

Offline downloads are unlimited on Elite and Elite+. Without one of these plans you can try it a few times for free.

Good to know

• Downloads are only in the Android app; the web version doesn't support offline reading.
• Paid chapters you haven't unlocked aren't downloaded. Unlock them first. See Locked chapters.
• Chapter images themselves aren't downloaded, so some may not show offline. The text always does.
• Downloaded books are removed from your phone if you uninstall the app.
