Book covers: ratio, cropping and changing

Covers are cropped to a 2:3 ratio and can be changed later from the book management screen.

Your cover is your book's shop window. It's the first thing people see in Explore, on profiles and on share cards.

Ratio and cropping

Book covers are portrait 2:3 (2 wide, 3 tall). When you pick an image, a crop screen opens with the frame locked to that ratio, and you choose which part of the image shows. The image is compressed automatically before upload, so a large file is fine.

Changing the cover

  1. On your profile, long-press your book and tap Edit (draft books open directly when tapped).
  2. On the book management screen, tap the cover, pick a new image and crop it.
  3. Tap Save in the top right. If you leave without saving, the change isn't applied.

Good to know

  • A book can't be published for the first time without a cover. You'll see Add a cover image before publishing. Adding a chapter to a book that is already live doesn't ask for the cover again.
  • On the web (arwy.tr / arwy.life) there's no crop screen; the image is cropped from the center automatically.
  • Don't use images that belong to someone else without permission. See content rules and copyright.
