Creating your first book

To write on Arwy, you first create the book itself and then write its first chapter. The new book wizard asks for one decision per screen, and most steps can be skipped and finished later.

Step by step

1. Go to your profile and open the books tab. If you have no books yet, tap Start writing your first book; otherwise tap the new book tile.
2. Book Title: name your book. This is the only required step, and you can change the title later.
3. Cover Photo: pick an image from your gallery, or tap Skip for now.
4. Back Cover Description: say in a few sentences what your book is about. You can skip this too.
5. Genres: choose at least 1 and at most 5 genres. This is how the right readers find you.
6. Tags: add short search words readers might use (up to 10). Optional.
7. Tap Write the first chapter to open the chapter editor.

Good to know

• Your book is saved to your account as a draft right away, so it isn't lost if you switch phones.
• A book needs a cover image before it can go live for the first time. If you skipped the cover, you'll be asked to add one before publishing.
• When you take a break, your book waits for you under Continue Writing on the home screen and on your profile.
