Chapter covers, images between paragraphs and GIFs
Add a 3:2 cover to each chapter and place images or GIFs anywhere in your text.
You can bring your chapters to life with images: a cover at the top of the chapter and pictures anywhere in the text.
Chapter cover
- In the chapter editor, tap Options › Chapter Cover.
- Choose Add chapter cover, pick an image and crop it. Chapter covers are landscape 3:2.
- Later you can Change cover or Remove cover.
When readers open the chapter, the cover shows above the text, and a small version appears in the chapter list.
Images between paragraphs
- Place your cursor in the paragraph the image should follow.
- Tap the image button in the toolbar and pick an image. When cropping you can choose free, square, 4:3 or 16:9.
- The image is added after that paragraph. A strip below the editor shows where each image sits (for example After paragraph 3).
GIFs
You can pick a GIF from your gallery. GIFs aren't compressed, so the animation is kept. A GIF can be up to 8 MB.
Good to know
- If you later add paragraphs above an image, it tries to stay with the paragraph it was attached to.
- In paid chapters, images are locked too; only readers who unlocked the chapter see them.
- Images aren't saved with offline downloads; they show if they were viewed before, otherwise they're skipped.
- Images and covers must follow the content rules.
