Managing your book: title, description, status, license and deleting
Edit details, mark it completed, choose the license and chat room preference, or delete the book.
Every setting for your book lives on one screen: the book management screen.
Opening it
On your profile, long-press your book and tap Edit. Draft books open there directly when tapped. Manage under Continue Writing on the home screen takes you to the same place.
Editing details
Change the cover, Book Title, Back Cover Description, Genres and Tags here. Tap Save in the top right afterwards; if you try to leave without saving, the app warns you. The progress bar at the top shows what your book is still missing.
The menu (three dots, top right)
- Publish / Unpublish: takes the whole book live or back to draft. A cover is required the first time.
- Mark as Completed / Mark as Ongoing: mark your book once it's finished. Readers who follow it or added it to a library are told.
- Statistics: see statistics.
- License: All Rights Reserved, CC BY, CC BY-SA, CC BY-NC or Public Domain.
- Chat room: who can open your book's reader room (see book rooms).
- Delete book.
Deleting a book
Deleting is permanent: all chapters, comments and the cover are removed and can't be recovered. A book with a sold paid chapter can't be deleted, because readers paid for those chapters.
If you only want to hide your book for a while, use Unpublish instead.
