Reordering and deleting chapters
Long-press and drag to reorder chapters; deleting is permanent and sold chapters can’t be deleted.
You manage the chapter list and its order from the Chapters section of the book management screen.
Changing the order
- Open the book management screen.
- Long-press the chapter you want to move and drag it up or down.
- When you let go, the new order is saved. Readers see the chapters in this order.
A paid chapter can't be moved into the first 3 positions, because a book's first 3 chapters must be free. If you try, the order snaps back and you'll see A paid chapter can't be in the first 3. Moving a free chapter down can also push a paid one into the first 3; the same rule applies.
Adding a chapter
Tap Add Chapter below the list. The new chapter goes to the end; you can drag it elsewhere afterwards.
Deleting a chapter
- Choose Delete from the chapter row's menu.
- In the confirmation (Delete Chapter), tap Delete again.
A deleted chapter can't be recovered, and its comments go with it. If you only want to hide it from readers, use Unpublish instead (see drafts and publishing).
A sold chapter can't be deleted. Once at least one reader has unlocked a paid chapter, it is a permanent part of the book.
