Statistics: rates and the chapter funnel

See how your book is doing through rates: started reading, opened but left, reached the end and reads per chapter.

The Statistics screen shows how your books are landing with readers. It focuses on rates rather than raw numbers: 1,000 views alone tells you nothing, "12% started reading" tells you a lot.

Where to find it

  • Settings › Statistics: a list of all your books; tap one for details.
  • Statistics in the book management menu: straight to that book.

What the rates mean

  • Started reading: the share of people who opened chapter one and read it to the end.
  • Opened but left: people who opened chapter one but left before finishing it. This tests your cover, blurb and opening pages; if it's high, start there.
  • Reached the end: the share of readers who started and made it to the last chapter.
  • Library adds: how many of the people who opened the book added it to a library.

Reads per chapter

You'll see a bar for each chapter, scaled against the most-read chapter. A sharp drop means readers stopped there. When there's a clear drop, the This is where they stop card points to that chapter. Drops below 10% are considered normal and aren't shown.

Other details

The Numbers section shows views, readers, comments, shares and rating; Poll results shows how readers answered your end-of-chapter polls.

Numbers are approximate: views go up on every open (the same person opening twice counts twice), and reads are counted per chapter. Use the rates for comparison and trends, not as exact measurements.
